Grand Tour is a project by Mayfair Rare Books and Manuscripts Ltd, a company founded in 2017 based on Paolo Rambaldi’s twenty years of experience in the antiquarian market. Specializing in antique books, incunables, and manuscripts, he has always held a personal preference for treatises on architecture and art books, which find their greatest expression and disclosure through the phenomenon of the Grand Tour.

Thanks to the post-pandemic revival of foreign tourism in Italy, this project aims to rediscover the beauty and magic of the “bel paese” through the impressions and testimonies of its ancient visitors, as well as the timeless works of its greatest artists and engravers.

Paola Tomezzoli, an expert in decorative arts with twenty years of experience in the collecting market, is also part of Grand Tour. She is the author of the insights and essays contained on this site.
