8vo (157 x 95 mm.), 3 volumes nicely bound in contemporary stiff vellum, with titles in gold on brown calf labels at spines, red edges, an attractive uniform set. Engraved frontispiece to each volume, pp. [4], xvi, 654; [4], 654; [6], 524, [4, with Roisecco’s editorial catalogue], widely illustrated by a great number of engravings at 2/3 of page, and numerous woodcuts, and 33 engraved plates (but one, in woodcut), mostly folding, all of them depicting buildings and monuments, antiquities, and 2 large engraved folding plans of Rome (some minor tears to plates).
