ROSASPINA, BERNARDINO – Raccolta di 44 vedute della città e vicinanze di Firenze pubblicate da Bernardino Rosaspina. Prezzo paoli toscani 55. S.d. (Bologna or Florence, circa 1830).

Obl. 4to (220×290 mm.), contemporary half olive calf, with title and golden fillets at spine, corners in vellum, marbled paper on board, a fresh, excellent copy (light marginal foxing, some shelf-marks notes by pen). Engraved frontispiece with a small bird-eye view of Florence, and 44 engraved plates after drawings of G. Ferri, G. Magazzari and Rosaspina himself.

First edition of this collection of views, a typical Grand-Tour souvenir for tourists. The author (Bologna 1797- 1882), engraver, son of the most famous Giuseppe (Bologna 1765-1832), and nephew of Francesco (Rimini, 1762 – Bologna 1841), devoted himself particularly to the production of views.
